Boyer Planning 'Keeps on Trucking'
Boyer Planning’s Twickenham office, acting on behalf of Hobden Cromwell Ltd, has secured planning permission for the expansion of an existing Heavy Goods Vehicle facility in Rugby. The proposal will provide an additional 274 lorry spaces on a 5ha site located within the open countryside. Boyer project- managed the proposal from pre-application stage to determination, including the instruction of all consultants. Despite conflicting with national and local policies relating to development in the open countryside, the planning authority considered the proposal acceptable given the need for the development and its potential contribution to efficient freight distribution and crime reduction.
