Boyer Planning have been advising Taylor Wimpey UK Ltd since 2003 on the development of land at Penllergaer Swansea. Initially the site was promoted as part of the Unitary Development Plan, where we worked in conjunction with the Council to demonstrate the suitability of the allocation.

Following adoption of the Plan, an outline planning application was submitted to Swansea City Council in 2011. The development proposes construction of around 200 dwellings, public open space, and children’s play provision on approximately 6 hectares of land.

As the site is within the catchment of a Special Area of Conservation, an Environmental Statement has been prepared which examines the inter-relationships between the development, drainage and water quality in the SAC. We are working with the Environment Agency, Welsh Water and Countryside Council for Wales to ensure appropriate drainage solutions that allow the development to proceed.
