Village Farm Industrial Estate

Boyer Planning Cardiff, on behalf of Inetec Ltd, successfully gained planning permission on the 17th November 2011 at Bridgend County Borough Council Planning Committee. The full application comprised the creation of a waste treatment and recycling facility consisting of the installation of a 12.5 tonne batch capacity thermal drying unit, which has been specifically designed to process food and contaminated packaging waste through the application of heat and abrasion at their premises on Village Farm Industrial Estate, Pyle.

The proposed facility is capable of accepting, processing and treating a maximum of 6,240 tonnes of packaged and unpacked food waste per annum which will be reduced in volume by 60% and be converted to a dry sterile fibrous biomass fuel which can be used for a number of alternative uses and reduce the waste volumes going to landfill.
