Boyer Planning worked on behalf of Linden Homes plc / Laing Homes during this project, which included the redevelopment of the former Guildford Barracks as an urban village - this comprised 525 dwellings, employment uses, district centre, community facilities and a supermarket.
Key issues included engaging the community, mixed-use master planning, s106 contributions, design, massing and buildings, transport and wildlife. Boyer’s role involved co-ordinating a team of consultants, offering strategic advice, preparing an environmental statement, community planning exercises, pursuing reserved matters consents and discharge of conditions placed on planning permission.
