Planning
Applications
We
prepare and submit applications to local authorities for planning
permission, listed building and conservation area consents
and certificates of lawful development. A key part of our
role is then to monitor their progress, responding promptly
to queries or requirements for further information, and doing
our best to secure efficient progress with the local authority.
Local Authority Negotiations
Consistent with our aim to deliver solutions
through negotiation rather than confrontation, we seek to
maintain a close rapport with local authority officers throughout
the life of a project. The experience which most of our staff
have of working in local government is of great assistance
in this. Negotiations will be needed at the preliminary stage
in a project, during the life of a planning application, and
in relation to Section 106 and other legal agreements. |

Development
Plan Advice and Promotions
The planning system in England and Wales
operates primarily on the basis of conformity with the development
plan. It is therefore most important that clients seek to
influence the preparation of development plans at the outset
and at every appropriate opportunity during their preparation.
Boyer Planning has acquired an enviable record in protecting
and promoting client's interests. Wherever possible we work
with the local authority
in advance of Plan publication so as to shape the emerging
strategy.
Appeals and Inquiries
Despite everyone's best intentions, planning
permission is
not always achieved at the first attempt. The Appeal system
continues
to be an essential means of bringing forward appropriate development
opportunities. At Boyer Planning we have extensive experience
in
handling planning appeals of all types, including enforcement
actions. |
