Two become one for Lennon and Boyer

Romans Professional Services, part of the Romans Group, has merged its two planning consultancies.

Effective from 1st January 2010, Boyer Planning, bought by the group in 2007, and Lennon Planning, acquired in 2002, have merged to become Boyer Planning Limited. The new, expanded company now operates from offices in Wokingham, Colchester, Cardiff and Twickenham, offering a network of established teams of planning consultants across the south of England and Wales.

Andrew Williams, formerly Director of Lennon Planning and now a Director of Boyer, sees the move as a natural progression. "The merger has brought together two companies with complementary skills and client bases," he comments. "It has created a strong regional planning consultancy business with in depth local knowledge and expertise, giving us a solid platform for growth as the economy picks up. I'm looking forward to working with Boyer's Managing Director David Lander."

David Lander agrees with Andrew Williams' assessment. "Boyer Planning has established a strong reputation, specialising in the promotion of immediate and longer-term development opportunities," he says. "The merger with Lennon has enabled us to build on this, providing additional resources to broaden the services we offer."

Despite challenging market conditions in the last two years, both Lennon and Boyer have remained busy. "Now is a great opportunity to combine the strengths of the two businesses," comments David Lander. "Clients can be assured that the high service levels they have enjoyed independently from both companies will continue far into the future."
