Owen Jones joined Boyer Planning in 2001, having been previously employed as Regional Planner for the House Builders Federation in the South West Region. He was appointed Associate Director at the company's Cardiff Office in 2007 and has management responsibility for the South Wales Office.

His case load extends across Wales and England, working for Clients in South Wales, Southern England and the Midlands.

He is a Chartered Town Planner and a Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (elected 1998). He holds a B.A (Hons) and Post Graduate Diploma in Town Planning and MSc in Residential Development.

Owen is currently involved in the promotion of major urban extensions at Cheltenham, Taunton, Hereford, Worcester and Chester. He is also providing planning advice on numerous retirement schemes including proposals in Cardiff Bay and Stratford upon Avon. Other planning application work includes residential and mixed use schemes in Cardiff, Rhondda Cynon Taff, Carmarthenshire and Newport, where he has led multi disciplinary development teams.

He has appeared as an expert witness at Local Plan Inquiries, Section 78 Appeals and RSS EiP.
