ARU / Boyer Student Prize

11th June 2018

As part of our ongoing relationship with Anglia Ruskin University (ARU), the Colchester office attended the University’s School of Architecture Employer Forum, followed by a Summer Exhibition last Thursday 7th June 2018.

ARU hold the Forums to assist in tailoring its courses to meet the needs of employers and to ensure their ongoing relevance with professional criteria and expectations.  This allowed Boyer to input in respect of employer/student engagement, and to help shape the University’s future plans for the MSc Town Planning course.

At the Summer Exhibition, students were displaying and presenting their recent work, including exhibits from the MSc Town Planning and the MSc Urban Design courses.

Various awards were presented at the Exhibition, and for the second year running, Boyer was delighted to offer a Student Prize, awarded to Ian Drew for his Major Project.  Ian produced a very high quality Design Guide SPD for Barking Town Centre, and we were very impressed by his work, along with the other student’s projects on display.

This was a great opportunity to view the range and quality of work being produced and to speak with students and lecturers at the Exhibition, whilst also continuing to strengthen Boyer’s links with the University.
