Viability presentation to planning students

20th March 2019
By James Mercer

James Mercer from Boyer's Development Economics team provided a presentation to planning students at Anglia Ruskin University yesterday on the subject of viability in plan making.  While viability testing of Local Plans is something that has been required for the past decade, the revised NPPF has placed even greater emphasis on seeking to resolve viability issues at the plan making stage with greater engagement with landowners and developers.

As such, course leaders at Anglia Ruskin invited Boyer to provide its own insight in to the viability testing process to help students with their studies and offer an opportunity for questions and discussion on key issues.
