Easton Village Growth Location

Boyer has worked closely with a consortium of local landowners in Norfolk to promote their 52ha site through the Local Plan and development control process. The project, which sought outline planning permission for 907 dwellings and a new village heart on a Greenfield/agricultural site in Easton, to the east of Norwich, was submitted in December 2014.

Boyer’s role in the project has been as the lead Planning Consultant. This has involved the production of an EIA Scoping Report; co-ordination of the Environmental Statement; regular liaison with the Project Team; attendance at Public Consultation event and Local Plan Examination; and monthly meetings with South Norfolk Council and Norfolk County Council.

Boyer has also been working closely with the Project Architect, Conservation officers at South Norfolk Council and Historic England to assess the scheme’s impact and relationship with Grade I listed church close to the application site, which has involved the production of a Heritage Impact Assessment, and considerable input into the masterplanning of the scheme.

Planning permission was granted, subject to a S106 agreement, in June 2015, and the Decision Notice was published in November 2016.
