Land at Woolwell, Plymouth

Boyer is instructed by Barwood Land to provide planning services in respect of the largest single allocation in the emerging Plymouth and South West Devon Joint Local Plan, providing for circa 2,000 new homes and supporting infrastructure as a sustainable urban extension to the north of Plymouth, within the South Hams administrative area. 

Our role is to secure the allocation through the Local Plan Examination Process and to undertake pre-application discussions with the Local Planning Authority, including an EIA Scoping Report in order to prepare a planning application that delivers the growth identified through the emerging Joint Local Plan. 

Boyer’s role is to coordinate a range of disciplines, including: Transport/Highways; landscape; ecology; drainage in the preparation of a planning application.  This also includes extensive consultation with the Local Planning Authority, Local Councillors and other stakeholders including Dartmoor National Park, and local communities in order to deliver a sustainable and integrated new neighbourhood at Plymouth, in a manner that is sensitive and responsive to its setting.
