Centre House, White City, London
Client: St James Group
LPA: London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham
Boyer successfully secured planning permission for this residential-led redevelopment which will create 527 new homes following the demolition of existing commercial buildings within the White City Opportunity Area. 35% of the new homes will be affordable homes, which are exclusively intermediate rent properties for employees of Imperial.
The development consists of a southern and northern buildings which together form a curved eleven storey podium, with two centrally located slender, taller landmark buildings rising to 22 and 32 storeys in height. The Centre House development also provides a linkage to Imperial College London’s new White City campus which is located to the north of the site. New ground floor commercial space will be utilised and managed by Imperial and will include new exhibition space which will act as a ‘shopfront’ entrance to the university’s new campus
