Boyer invests in your professional development with our specialised graduate programme
Grow your career at one of the UK’s leading multi-skilled planning consultancies
The Boyer Graduate Programme partners recent graduates in planning and design with our expert senior team members to help develop their skills and grow their career through on the job learning. Graduate candidates will get involved in ongoing planning projects and provide clients with planning solutions. We have offices throughout the UK, and welcome graduates in all sectors, including planning, design and economic development.
Successful candidates are passionate, high-calibre graduates, preferably with an RTPI-accredited background, who will embrace the Boyer mission and contribute to our continued success through this highly-specialised programme.
We also consider graduates from non-planning backgrounds who demonstrate a dedication and drive for the industry. If successful, non-planning graduates will be expected to undertake an RTPI Masters conversion course while working at Boyer.

Life as a Boyer Graduate Planner
"Boyer’s graduate programme has provided key roles such as mentoring and training which have been essential in supporting myself during the early steps of my career! Since joining as a graduate, I have been given the opportunity to get valuable experiences such as leading my own projects, meeting with clients and being involved on a variety of different projects including residential, commercial and hospitality. The company have been incredibly supportive and encouraging during my first months in helping me with my own professional development and assistance from my mentors towards submission of my APC next year." Andrew Burton, Graduate Planner, Bristol & Cardiff office
"Since starting at Boyer I have been involved in a diverse range of projects from commercial sites to tourism to residential sites and more at multiple different scales. Throughout these projects I have worked directly with clients and other consultants within project meetings on-site and online, and other stakeholders including the community and council. Also, through our various charity events, including Quizzes and Tea for Trussell, I have been able to engage with clients and other consultants creating networking and business development opportunities. These amazing experiences have allowed me to develop my skills as a planner and provided me with well-founded confidence to take on more responsibilities in projects. I am committed and excited to progress in my career at Boyer with the support of my colleagues." Yolanda Jeffery, Graduate Planner, Colchester office.
"Since joining Boyer as a graduate planner, I have been given the opportunity to get involved in a wide range of exciting projects of varying scales. This has allowed me to work directly with clients, other consultants, and the council through attending regular project meetings and site visits. I have received excellent support and guidance from my colleagues, especially through the mentoring programme which has been really useful, particularly in helping me progress towards submission of my APC next year."
