Full planning permission secured for 541 new bed spaces of purpose-built student accommodation in Loughborough on behalf of Fusion Group.

LPA: Charnwood Borough Council

Boyer Midlands have secured full planning permission from Charnwood Borough Council's Plans Committee for a new student accommodation scheme of 541 bed spaces for Fusion Group and Tri7.

The high-quality 9 storey development designed by Corstorphine + Wright will regenerate a derelict brownfield site adjacent the Grand Union Canal Basin in the heart of Loughborough.

There were a number of significant challenging planning issues that were overcome in relation to scale, mass, townscape, flood risk, operational management and amenity considerations. We are looking forward to seeing this scheme come out of the ground and make a positive addition to Loughborough’s townscape.
