Biodiversity Net Gain

The Environment Bill, which is expected to be received Royal Assent by the end of this year will impose a requirement for a 10% Biodiversity Net Gain on development sites.

Although there will be transitional arrangements in place, we are already seeing many Local Planning Authorities seeking to impose policies requiring a 10% Net Gain (or even in excess of 10%).
