Boyer achieves Planning Consent for Student Accommodation in Southampton
Boyer are delighted to announce they have secured a resolution to grant planning permission on behalf of Barsad Investments Ltd for 198 units of student accommodation at 6 Hulse Road, Southampton. The resolution was awarded by Southampton City Council on 20 February.
Located under two miles from the city centre, the 3,768.00 sq metre site is currently occupied by St. Margaret's House, a 1960s block which offers 100 student rooms / suites. The existing block will be demolished to create 198 modern, improved student units.
Sustainability is at the forefront of the designs for this development: the building will incorporate biophilic design principles, and if successful in its aim, will be one of the first buildings in Southampton to achieve a BREEAM Outstanding rating.
