Virtual planning committee success in Lambeth

The site is located on the corner of Vauxhall Walk and Tinworth Street, adjacent to CLS's head office, and currently comprises five outdated office units. The development will enable CLS to redevelop the site for a high quality 10 storey office building, creating approximately five times the existing floorspace. The scheme will make a more effective contribution to the supply of office floorspace in the Vauxhall, Nine Elms, Battersea Opportunity Area and the CAZ. Following the consent, CLS plan to occupy part of the building to accommodate their growing headquarters presence at Tinworth Street.

The scheme incorporates much needed affordable workspace which will be available for charitable and not for profit organisations. The building will also have a multi-use break out and retail area at ground floor level to provide a facility for local workers to buy refreshments, and a roof terrace for all occupiers of the building to share.

The application was recommended for approval and was heard at Lambeth's first ever virtual planning committee on 12th May. Members voted unanimously to approve permission.

We are delighted to have secured consent to enable CLS to expand their headquarters and to successfully complete this corner of the Spring Mews Estate. We look forward to seeing this scheme developed and to continuing our successful relationship with CLS.
