Planning Policy

The Fenland District Council Local Plan, which was adopted in 2014 contains local planning policies and allocates suitable land for development and growth across the district between 2011-2031.

The site forms part of the ‘West March’ Strategic Allocation, which is identified in the Fenland Local Plan (2014) for the development of approximately 2,000 dwellings including a range of other mixed uses such as education, retail and open space provision, and the potential provision of business uses with access on the A141.

The site presents a suitable and sustainable location for residential development, which will support the socio-economic growth of March as a Market Town and more importantly contribute towards the overall housing requirement to meet local housing need and the needs of the District.

Richborough Estates are committed to working positively and co-operatively with the Council on determining Developer Contributions, which will be agreed through the course of the forthcoming application.
