Boyer’s Wokingham Office are delighted to have secured planning permission and listed building consent for a new Boarding House and Day House for Wellington College in Berkshire. The high quality building will be positioned around a beautifully landscaped Woodland Quad.
Wellington College was founded in 1853 as and is now one of the UK’s leading coeducational boarding and day schools.
Due to its woodland location within the curtilage of the Grade II and Grade II* Listed Buildings, Boyer worked closely with MICA Architects, Montagu Evans, Glanville and Hankinson Duckett Associates to design buildings that would not harm to the setting of the Listed Buildings and which would respond to the woodland character.
We are delighted to have secured the necessary consents on behalf of the College and look forward to seeing the completed scheme. Boyer continues to advise the College on a range of projects to provide new facilities and infrastructure to meet the future masterplan vision of the College and to promote excess land for housing development.
